Every person carries a digital passport of where they have been, and entry to a farm, hatchery or slaughterhouse is validated against where they came from and how long ago.
The most common way disease moves between sites is a person. The rules about which sites you may enter after which others are well known; enforcing them is the problem, because nobody at the gate knows where you were days ago.
BioPassport makes that history the credential. At the entrance, the visit record is checked against the rules for both sites' type and status and the time elapsed.
The rule depends on a history nobody has at the gate
Whether someone may enter is a property of the pair of sites plus elapsed time. Turning that into an immediate yes or no, with the reason, is the whole system.
Rules that change during an outbreak
When a site goes from clean to active outbreak, the movement rules change while people are in transit. Rules match the status at the moment of entry.
A denial has to explain itself
A gate that simply refuses gets bypassed. Every decision returns the rules behind it and when the person becomes eligible.
Built for the gate, not the office
Validation is outdoors, quick, often by a guard with vehicles queuing. Identity is a scannable code; the verdict is immediate and unambiguous.
Roles that reflect who carries the risk
A vet, a farm manager and an external contractor present different risk. External visitors, with the least visible history, get the strictest handling.
